Welcome to “Giwajib(Korean Traditional House)”!  

The “Giwajib” is located on the brim of Mt. Taebaek. Mt. Taebaek is one of the best mountains in Korea which is the backbone of the Korean peninsula and is the root of our land, from which all the original mountains and rivers of the southern part of the Korean peninsula come from.  

 Thanks to the cool breeze from Mt Taebaek,  a blanket is needed at night. In winter many individual and group tourists come here to enjoy the fantastic snow-covered landscape along with ski and golf courses.  

The “Giwajib” is a historic building representing the traditional Korean culture. The “Giwajib” not only shows off the exquisite beauty of traditional Korean architecture but also provides an opportunity for both domestic and foreign visitors to experience the taste and beauty of Korean traditional culture.

We have more than 200 pieces of folk materials and antiques showing the life of Korean people and comfortable facilities including shower &laundry room and kitchen in which you can cook any time you want.

In regards to The “Giwajib”,  

The traditional building was designed and built by the owner, Kim Tae-Jin ,Kim Chun-Soo and a professional carpenter Kim Byung-Sik who has much experience in carpentry. The complex, sizing up to a total of  1,700 square meters, was built exactly in the traditional Korean style consisting of tall gates, main building, women's quarters ,servants' quarters, a datached house and a back yard. Moreover, roses, maples, pine trees, yews, royal azaleas grow in the beautiful traditional fences .
